  • Go back to the basics with L’Entrecôte The Steak & Fries Bistro. This French eatery was the first restaurant by Deliciae Hospitality Management (DHM), which now has seven different brands.

Its idea is simple: a juicy steak with fries, which happens to be a French classic. While their steaks and sauce are famous, that’s not the only thing on the menu. They do other quintessential French foods just as well.

With three locations in Duxton Hills, Customs House, and Holland Village, this bistro has spread French flavors all over the city.

    Highlights:

    • Steak cooked to perfection: The restaurant has perfected its steak, as it’s the only main dish on the menu. The L’Entrecôte steak is cooked to your liking, whether you prefer it rare, medium, or well-done. And the portion size is generous, accompanied by freshly fried, unlimited fries.
    • Legendary steak sauce: The steak and fries bistro is famous for its amazing trimmed steaks, but it’s the sauce that makes them so good. The buttery and tangy sauce perfectly complements the juicy meat and fries. Additionally, they generously top up the sauce, ensuring that it lasts till the very last bite.
    • Classic French appetizers and desserts: The steak may be the star of the menu, but plenty of French entrees will tease your taste buds for the main event. And then, when you’ve filled up on steak and crave something sweet, you can have one of the many classic French desserts like Mousse au Chocolat or Profiteroles.

LOOK & FEEL: The original L’Entrecôte The Steak & Fries Bistro, located at Duxton Hills, has a casual Parisian bistro setting. In contrast, the Custom House location has a more contemporary look.  With its understated decor, L’Entrecôte offers a more relaxed version of French dining, where food and wine are meant to be enjoyed casually.

    MENU:

    • The a la carte menu offers several entrees, including oven-baked beef marrow, escargots, and onion soup. The main focus of the menu is the L’Entrecôte steak, served with free-flowing sauce and fries. For dessert, there are both classic and modern French options available. Additionally, the menu offers cheese and charcuterie choices.
    • The set lunch menu offers a three-course lunch, including the signature steak as the main.
    • The drink menu offers wine, non-alcoholic wine, champagne, beers, and cocktails. Some of the wines are from France.

  • The Napoleon Wine Bistro provides a French fine dining experience, complete with exquisite French wine selections from the bar.

The restaurant pays homage to the French emperors Napoleon I and Napoleon III, who revolutionized the country and spread its influence throughout the world. With Bordeaux wines at the bar, the restaurant continues the legacy of Napoleon III, as he classified these wines in 1855.

    Highlights:

    • Beautiful, cozy, and dim-lit design in a speak-easy style:  The restaurant’s decor features several architectural details that point to French heritage, such as walls covered with limestone bricks imported from the Burgundy region and wooden beams on the ceiling that give the place a vintage feel. However, the highlight is the portrait of Napoleon I, created by French artist Gabriel Dafourcq using original documents from the leader’s era.
    • Fresh and high-quality French and Australian ingredients: The restaurant utilizes high-quality meat and seafood for its recipes, air-flown directly from France and Australia. Chefs pay close attention to flavors and use their impeccable skills to plate dishes in an appetizing fashion
    • Premium wines from France:  The Napoleon Wine Bistro takes its wine game to the next level by importing high-quality wines from different regions of France, including Bordeaux, Loire Valley, and Provence. The bar features over 32 French wines in enomatic dispensers. The display on the dispenser indicates the flavor profile of the wine, which is a nice touch.

The interior features architectural elements that nod to French castles, making it even more impressive. Additionally, there’s a smaller outdoor seating area that can accommodate up to 12 guests.
