Founded by Penelope in her home, Hungry Mummies is a cooking class offering in Singapore centered around family living. With a focus on easy-to-make family meals, the mission of the tailored classes is to encourage and empower people to cook wholesome meals independently. Kids classes also carry that idea, enabling kids to acquire basic cooking and baking skills.
Highlights:
- Simple menu choices: Penelope, who serves as the head instructor, has created a diverse range of menus that are, at their core, based on simple and basic cooking skills. From traditional family-style Singaporean dishes to hawker-inspired dishes, there are plenty of options to choose from.
- Group and private classes for kids: Classes for kids are usually offered during holidays with a maximum group capacity of six. This ensures that instruction is clear and helpful. Private, one-on-one classes can also be scheduled.
- Cooking classes for teens: The cooking classes offered for teens can also fulfill the International Baccalaureate (IB) Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) requirement. Not only do teens learn culinary skills, but they can also use them to satisfy their curriculum requirements in secondary school.
