The Clifford Surgery’s consultant physician is a reputable plastic surgeon, Dr Timothy Shim.

Dr Shim is a reconstructive surgeon by training but also specializes in aesthetic medicine. He is skilled in high definition liposuction and abdominoplasty amongst other fields.

Dr Shim started out in the public health sector and worked at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In addition, he was a lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr Shim completed his training in super microsurgery at the University of Tokyo Hospital.

1. Mini Tuck Incision

The operation is confined to the area below the navel where loose skin is removed. Liposuction is employed to remove excess fat. This procedure is effective for eliminating poorly healed scars and stretch marks.

In addition, the advantages of a mini tuck are that the scars are small, it is less costly and the recovery period is shorter.

2. Full Tummy Tuck

The whole abdominal wall is involved in this procedure. It is recommended for cases where the skin and muscles are significantly lax. This is an invasive procedure with a downtime of 3-6 weeks. Hospitalization is necessary and the procedure will result in a few visible scars.
