Singapore International Festival of Arts 2018

Singapore International Festival of Arts 2018 is the 41^st edition of this annual event. It began in 1977 as a biennial event that showcased of the vibrant art forms found within Singapore’s diverse communities. This year’s festival is staged under a new Festival Director, Gaurav Kripalani, who is introducing the S$10 front row tickets for students, among other new policies.

For three weekends, audiences can choose from various showcases in music, dance, literary arts, and visual art, across more than 10 performance spaces.

Among the highlights of Singapore International Festival of Arts 2018 is the Southeast Asian Premiere of George Orwell’s “1984”. This stage adaptation of the literary classic was created by Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan. “1984” is a Headlong, Nottingham Playhouse and Almeida Theatre production, presented by Singapore International Festival of Arts, GWB Entertainment in association with State Theatre Company of South Australia.
