Qixi festival is the chinese version of Valentines Day. The festival celebrates 2 romantic legends, the cowherd and weaver girl, who shown how in love they were for each other, and many were moved by the story of them, therefore dedicating this day to them and worshipping them for love. Up till this day, chinese females still celebrate this festival traditionally, in hopes to find a good husband for their future.
