ASICS Relay Singapore 2019

The uniqueness of a team relay places heavy emphasis on the beauty of teamwork and allows runners to race and bond with their teammates. A team of four can register in either all-Male, all-Female or the Mixed team categories, in two race distances – Full Marathon (42km) and Half Marathon (21km). ASICS Relay 2019 has also introduced a new Half Marathon category to accommodate smaller teams. The ‘Buddy of 2’ category will require each team member to complete 10.5km to finish the race.

Following the Malaysia leg of the ASICS Relay, we cross the causeway to Singapore for the final leg of the ASICS Relay. With Singapore being known for its Marina Bay Skyline, brace yourself for an epic race experience along the picturesque Bayfront area, passing iconic landmarks like the Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and the Merlion.

The ASICS Relay 2019 Singapore Edition is expected to see about 1,500 teams. The winning team of the 42km Full Marathon will be walking away with a grand prize of $1000 and 4 pairs of ASICS shoes.

AMBASSADORS JOINING IN THE FUN
This year, K-pop fans have one more reason to take part in the relay race as South Korean singer, Park Sang-Hyun a.k.a. Thunder has been signed as the ambassador for ASICS Relay 2019 in Southeast Asia and he will race in both Indonesia and Thailand. Joining Thunder are city ambassadors who will participate in all four cities’ relay race. ASICS is proud to announce ASICS ambassador and local artiste Zong Zijie as Singapore’s ambassador in the ASICS Relay series.

ENTERTAINMENT THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT
Apart from the race itself, participants can also look forward to exciting activities and previews from local partners and sponsors at the race village. Interactive activities such as a 180-degree photo booth and face painting will be made available for participants. They can also visit the ASICS booth for purchase of the latest shoe models and merchandise at a special, 1 day only discounted price.

Upon completion of the race, participants can dig in to a wide selection of food from local kiosks while popular Korean DJ Duo, 2 Hearts hype up the crowd with pop music in celebration of the ASICS Relay spirit. As the runners hop between booths at the race village, they can redeem stamps on the stampcard and redeem an ASICS gift upon collecting 5 stamps.

Runners can look forward to active updates of their teammates’ progress along the race course using the Sport Splits app and track them as they pass through key checkpoints and ready themselves for the changeover. Immerse in the race route entertainments as we dazzle you with lights, fun and motivational cheers from our delightful race marshals, this is definitely the race that you must join in 2019!

Answer for How many days a visitor can survive in Singapore with S$200?

It highly depends on how frugal can you really be but $200 can get you far if you really want it to. Singapore is expensive for tourists but if you talk to the locals and ask around, there are cheap dining places and clubs as well.

Here are some places that offer cheap and quality food:

  • Pierogis ($8) at Dumpling Darlings
  • Fried chicken biryani ($6.50) Kamal’s Restaurant
  • Char siu noodle, ($7.50) At Wanton, Seng’s Noodle Place

You can find more here

All of these restaurants and dining places are located in Singapore and if you eat 3 times a day, $200 can get you through a week I guess. There are other expenses like places to stay and things you need other than food but I won’t get into those details right now.

From what I personally experienced, and from the info I found online, $200 can get you through 3-4 days in Singapore if you aren’t super frugal and saving every penny you can.

Answer for What are the things tourists should not do in Singapore?

Singapore has a reputation of being strict with its laws. Here are a few very important things to keep in mind to avoid paying a hefty fine or serving prison time while in Singapore.

  1. Don’t litter. This is a common practice that everybody should follow anywhere around the world especially when traveling to other countries. In Singapore, there are strict laws when it comes to public tidiness. The fine could go up to S$1,000 plus community service if you are caught dropping your trash or spitting on the street.
  2. Don’t chew gum. It is illegal to buy or import gum in Singapore. And if you can’t buy it, you can’t chew it. If you are caught chewing gum and dropping it on the street, you will be fined S$500. However, those with prescription for medical gum are exempted from this law.
  3. Don’t drink or eat on the MRT. Aside from littering and chewing gum, Rapid Transit Systems Regulations also prohibits the consumption of food and drinks anywhere within the railway premises. Singaporeans do not like it if you spill your food or drink on the train or on a fellow passenger. You will be fined S$500 if you get caught.
  4. Don’t smoke in public. A lot of countries have strict anti-smoking laws and Singapore is definitely one of them. You can smoke only at the designated areas which are usually marked with yellow paint and isolated from the public. Offenders will be fined up to S$1,000.
  5. Don’t connect to unsecured Wifi. This is a crime in Singapore under the Computer Misuse Act. One teenager was sentenced to three years in prison for connecting to his neighbor’s network without permission. So, if you’re too eager to post your latest travel selfie on your Instagram, find a secure network and use the password.

Answer for Can foreigners set up business in Singapore?

Yes, foreigners who are 18 years old and above can set up a business in Singapore, whether single proprietorship, a partnership, or a local company.

Sole Proprietorship
